Jess Clasby-Monk's first son, Leo, was stillborn in 2016. She describes being in a same-sex couple experiencing baby loss as being in a small pond, within a small pond. So she's found a way for LGBT couples to feel less alone.
For every shirt we sell, we donate to child loss, miscarriage, and women's mental health charities. Buy a shirt. Join the movement.
NOT JUST A SHIRT. A MOTHERHOOD MOVEMENT.
After meeting in prenatal class, FRANNIE + LILO bonded over their shared struggles with postpartum depression and anxiety, child loss, and miscarriage.
Up to 25% of mothers experience postpartum depression and 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. A portion of every shirt sold supports miscarriage, child-loss and postpartum mental health charities. We want to build awareness about these important issues and foster a positive space where women can talk about their motherhood journey.
We are an ethical, eco-conscious, and empowering company. Our shirts are handmade made in Canada from start to finish of sustainable bamboo and organic cotton.
Oftentimes when we think of perinatal mood disorders, we think of sadness, despair, and hopelessness. Certainly not rage. Anger is the scariest symptom of Lilo's postpartum depression.
